Drone company inks delivery agreement with Moose Cree First Nation – Sudbury.com

Drones will deliver letters, parcels, medical supplies and more

Drone Delivery Canada (DDC) has landed a $2.5-million contract to deliver goods via drone to Moose Cree First Nation communities.

On Dec. 5, the company announced it would use its Sparrow model drone, capable of carrying a 5-kilogram payload, to carry letters, general parcels, medical supplies and other general necessities between the Moose Cree communities.

Moosonee and Moose Factory are located roughly 19 kilometres south of James Bay in Ontario’s Far North.
