Employment Counsellor
Full-time, Indeterminate
It is the mission of Tungasuvvingat Inuit (TI) to broadly provide Inuit-specific programs that contribute to the health and wellbeing of Inuit and to encourage and support similar programs for Inuit across the country. With over 30 years of highly successful experience in crafting the design, development and delivery of a wide range of effective, client-centered services, TI continues to deliver quality programs and services that directly benefit our growing urban Inuit population.
Role Summary
The Employment Counsellor assists people become employment ready, to gain employment, retain employment or advance in their career. She/he provides professional advice, job readiness, job search guidance, job interview preparation, placement assistance, case management, and training/retraining and follow-up services to Inuit clients. Project Coordination and Education Support.
TI’s Employment Services assists unemployed and under-employed Inuit with career counselling, job search and suitable training opportunities that will lead to meaningful employment.

The Employment Counsellor works both in and outside the office as required. Occasional travel within the city is required. Occasional evenings and weekends are required.
