The door to greater self-governance and increased advocacy on behalf of First Nation communities may have opened a crack further for Mushkegowuk council.

Marc Miller, parliamentary secretary to Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs, was in Timmins Monday where he held a closed-door meeting with Mushkegowuk leaders and announced in excess of $300,000 in funding from the government’s Nation Rebuilding Program.
