Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to spend a second day touting the benefits of unfettered transatlantic trade as the Canada-European Union summit continues in Montreal before heading west to hit the stage at a party-organized fundraiser this evening.

According to his official itinerary, Trudeau is booked in for a series of closed-door meetings with senior EU officials this morning, starting with a 30-minute opening round with European Council president Donald Tusk and lead European trade commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom, followed by an “expanded” session that will also include Environment Minister Catherine McKenna and Trade Minister Jim Carr.
