Having successfully made it through his first live-action tete-a-tete with US President Donald Trump since his government was returned to power — although not, it’s worth noting, without having to sit through a press conference in which Trump described Canada’s military spending plans as “slightly delinquent” — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will spend one more day on the NATO anniversary circuit in London before heading back to Canada for the official launch of the new parliamentary session.

On his agenda today, as per his official itinerary: A morning meet-up with Norwegian prime minister Erna Solberg before joining the rest of his NATO counterparts at a public ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of the alliance, as well as the obligatory “leaders family photo,” which will be followed by a few hours of closed-door discussions.
