With just three days to go before the curtains rises for the opening of the 43rd parliament, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau heads to London, where he’s set to join his NATO counterparts — including US President Donald Trump — for two days of meetings to mark the 70th anniversary of the alliance, where, as CBC News points out, he should be ready to face high-level diplomatic pressure “on multiple fronts.”

As per the latest swirl of pre-summit speculation, Trump is expected to ramp up his ongoing campaign to dissuade both Canada and the United Kingdom from giving Chinese-owned “telecom titan” Huawei an all-access pass to their respective digital infrastructure networks to deploy its 5G wireless technology, which, according to “senior Trump administration officials,” is “not in any of the allies’ interest.”
