Release Date: June 26, 2015 Discussed the release of the Community & Commerce Ontario Report & Roundtable which is looking at Aboriginal economic development corporations in Ontario.  AEDC’s are building relationships and advancing economic interests in communities throughout Ontario. Minister Zimmer, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs spoke about Aboriginal procurement initiative, and how the government is working with Aboriginal entrepreneurs to help build their experience level. Minister Zimmer also spoke of the Political Accord with the Chiefs of Ontario which documents the fundamental relationship between the Aboriginal community and the government with respect to treaty rights and self government.
