In a demonstration of non-confidence in the current chief, nine of the 12 members of Moose Cree First Nation Council tendered their resignation Wednesday night.

The mass resignations trigger the immediate dissolution of the current chief and council and force a new election.

In the letter of resignation presented to the MCFN administration, and co-signed by the nine councillors, the members stated their reasons for resigning were:
