Morning Brief: Deal finally made on COVID-19 aid package – iPolitics

A little over 13 and a half hours after the House of Commons kicked off a streamlined emergency sitting to sign off on the government’s $82 billion COVID-19 aid package, MPs were finally able to begin their speed-read of the omnibus bill to implement the various financial measures included in the plan, which was formally presented to the Chamber by Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s shortly before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, following marathon cross-aisle negotiations.
