Union Gas Supports Ginoogaming First Nation Youth Health Programs

$2,000 from utility for Ginoogaming Health Centre

Longlac, ON – Union Gas is providing Ginoogaming First Nation with a $2,000 grant that will go towards the development of health programs for elementary and high school students at the new Ginoogaming Health Centre.

The goal of the youth health program is to build a strong positive atmosphere for children and adolescents and enable them to become healthy and productive adults.

Gaston Proteau, Union Gas utility services team lead, presented the cheque to Ginoogaming First Nation band manager Ernie Waboose at band office.

“Union Gas strives to be the partner of choice for communities, and that includes building long-term, productive relationships with First Nations and Métis communities,” said Proteau. “That’s why we support important programs in the communities we serve, such as the Ginoogaming First Nation Health Centre programs.”

“The money that is being donated to the community will be going to the health programs we provide to our elementary and high school students,” said Waboose. “We thank Union Gas for the help and support provided to our community.”
